Quiet Rebellion Field Manual #04: Mastering Time, Energy and Attention
A Quiet Rebellion Reflection Guide
The Quiet Rebellion Field Manuals are practical tools for Rebels who are ready to realign. They’re not content. They’re invitations to pause, reflect, and reconnect with the parts of yourself you’ve abandoned in the name of survival, success, or staying afloat.
The Signal
Most people think they have a time problem. But what they really have is a capacity problem. When I was burning out inside the machine of high-impact work, I didn’t realize how much of my time was being spent performing urgency. Or proving my worth. Or managing the emotional labor of everyone around me.
And when I did try to reclaim my time, I started with to-do lists and productivity hacks.
But reclaiming your time, attention, and energy isn’t about better apps.
It’s about better boundaries.
It’s about greater alignment.
It’s about stopping the quiet leak of your life force into things you no longer value.
This is the work of the Quiet Rebellion: Reclaiming what is yours to give.
And releasing what never was.
The Map
Time. Attention. Energy.
Three currencies. Three mirrors. Three levers of transformation.
They tell the truth about what you value.
They reveal what beliefs drive you.
The uncover where you’re not holding boundaries.
And they reflect where your life might be lived by default, not design.
Reclaiming them starts with observation and curiosity, not optimization.
This isn’t about getting more done.
It’s about focusing on what matters.
The Practice
This Field Manual will help you:
Track how your time, attention, and energy are currently being spent
Identify the hidden costs of misalignment and overextension
Clarify what actually restores vs. depletes you
Begin making small, values-aligned shifts in how you structure your days
You don’t need to change everything at once.
You just need to notice where the leaks are and where your aliveness still lives.
Reflection Prompts
Choose a few prompts to explore over the next few days. Don’t rush. Let them simmer.
Time
What parts of your day feel like they belong to someone else?
What’s one thing you always say you don’t have time for… but secretly wish you did?
What does spaciousness look like in your calendar? Have you ever felt it?
Attention
When do you feel most distracted, fragmented, or hijacked?
What consistently pulls your focus away from what matters?
What spaces, tasks, or rituals help you come back to presence?
Energy
What gives you energy even when it takes effort?
What drains you even when it looks good on paper?
If your energy were sacred, how would you treat it differently?
Your Rebellion
The rebellion isn’t just in what you say no to. It’s in what you start protecting.
It’s in reclaiming your mornings. Your rest. Your focus. Your nervous system.
It’s in realizing that doing less isn’t laziness. It’s clarity. It’s power. It’s choosing to live on purpose.
The Alignment
Look at your current rhythms:
What gets your best energy each day? Does that align with what matters?
What would it look like to build your day around your energy, not your tasks?
Where is your attention being spent out of habit, guilt, or fear?
Name one shift you could try this week:
30 minutes of protected deep work
An afternoon offline
One meeting declined
One tech-free walk
Let it be small. Let it be real. Let it be enough.
Extended Reflection Prompts: Patterns and Priorities
How were you taught to view time growing up? Was it structured? Scarce? Rigid? Free?
What beliefs do you hold about productivity, rest, or being busy?
What does it mean to be “available” in your culture, family, or work environment?
Who do you know that seems to move through life with integrity and spaciousness? What can you learn from them?
Optional Deep Dive: Your Time, Attention, and Energy Audit
Step 1: Inventory
Track how you spend your time and energy for 48 hours. Use 60-minute increments.
Notice what you’re doing, how focused you feel, and how energized you are during those blocks of time.
I built a simple but robust Google sheet that you can copy to use as a tracker.

Step 2: Realign
Ask:
What surprised me?
What am I tolerating?
What wants more space?
What needs to be released?
Integration
This week, experiment with one change:
Wake up 30 minutes earlier for stillness or intention
Block time for what restores you
Say no to a non-essential obligation
Delete one app that hijacks your attention
Rebellion can be quiet. It can start with a calendar hold and 30 mins without notificatons.
It can be a deep breath. Or a full-body no.
Coaching Notes
High performers often over-index on doing more. But reclaiming time, attention, and energy isn’t about discipline. It’s about discernment. Notice what’s necessary and what’s not. Notice what you’re ready to release.
If your nervous system is overloaded, don’t start with a new routine.
Start with rest.
Sometimes the bravest move is not optimizing harder but stopping altogether.

The Next Step
Ready to stop abandoning yourself in the name of productivity, peacekeeping, or being "the reliable one"?
This week, don’t try to fix everything. Just honor one boundary. Clarify one non-negotiable. Write it down. Say it out loud. Protect it like it matters… because it does.
Still unraveling where your limits begin and end?
Need help holding the line with compassion and clarity?
This is where coaching can be powerful.
