When the Routine Stops Working

On morning practices, momentum, and being gentle on the way back to routine

Your morning routine doesn’t have to be perfect.

Some days I meditate.
Other days I stretch, journal, write, or just lie on the floor and breathe.

After a few weeks of travel, I’ve been easing back into rhythm. It’s reminded me how easy it is to drift from the habits that nourish me.

Clients ask me this a lot:

How do you create a routine that supports you instead of draining you?

For me, it starts with having options.
Not rigid rules or strict rituals.
Just a few grounding practices I can rotate through depending on what I need.

No pressure to get it right.
No shame if I skip a day.
Just a steady return to what helps me feel like myself.

In this video, I share a few reflections on how I approach mornings and why flexibility might be the most important part of your routine.

If this resonates, follow along on Substack or join me in the Wild for an upcoming nature-based mindfulness retreat.

And tell me... what helps you come back to yourself in the morning?

Be Rebellious.
